GENERAL RULES
S/S Rules
Legal chassis are : BSRT T2/G3/G3R, Mattel/Tyco 440 X2, Micro SpeedworkT+
Slottech Panther/Panther 02/Thundercat T1, T2, T2 Lite  and T3,Tomy AFX
SuperG+Wizzard Patriot P2/P3/Storm, Life Like Fast Tracker/Pro Tracker.
1. All magnets must be Ohio State HO Racing Series approved and be made of
ceramic or polymer material only.
2. The number of armature magnets cannot be more than two.
3. The number of traction magnets cannot exceed the stock number for the car.
4. The number of flux collectors cannot be be more than stock for the car.
5. Any car which contains more than two magnets shall not be allowed flux
collectors.
6. Bulkheads are considered part of the chassis but may be replaced during
racing.
7. No broken chassis will be allowed to enter the race.
8. The minimum allowable wheelbase is 1-1/4 inches.
9. The maximum allowable width is 1-5/16 inches.
10. The maximum allowable length is 3 inches.
11. Only 1 guide pin per car and must be in stock position unless chassis is
designed to have an adjustable guide pin.
12. The front axle is allowed 1/32 inch lateral movement.
13. The body may not be substituted without the race directors approval and
only for same color conflicts.
14. During the race, parts may be replaced except for the chassis itself and
magnets.
15. The body must be painted and cannot have any added air control devices.
16. The body must cover the entire car when viewed from above. No body
cutting except for wheel openings, no open wheel bodies allowed.
17. Any car without a body must be stopped immediately to replace the body.
18. Driver has final responsibility to prove legality of his or her car.
19. Every car entered may be required for post race inspection. Failure to
comply will result in a DQ and forfeiture of entry and any prize winnings.
20. If necessary, the series director shall determine the final interpretation of all
rules.
1. The chassis must be stock and cannot be cut except to add body mounts,
reinforce and or replace pickup tabs, add rear axle retainer or add adjustable
brush tension.
2. All magnets used shall be stock or stock replacement and of a ceramic
material only. Magnets cannot be cut and must remain in their stock location. No
material or method may be used to restrict the movement of the magnets.
3.  Armature:
a) Must be stock or a hot stock (trued, balanced, epoxied, advanced             
timed) Small cuts or drill marks for balancing only. No machining. No marks
along the entire length of the stacks. Excessive removal of material will not be
allowed. Tech director has final say. All arms used should be pre teched to avoid
DQ in post tech.
b) Must be a narrow gap/welded tab with red wire.
c) Must be minimum 5.8 ohms checked after a 5 minute cool down.
d) No dewinding.
3. Any flux collector used shall be stock and shall remain in it's stock location
and cannot be modified.
4 .Armature or axle bushings are not allowed unless they come stock on the car.
Bushings may be glued into place.
5. There are no restrictions on the armature bushings, gears, axles, wheels and
tires except they must be readily available parts.
6. Electrical systems must be stock or stock replacement. Adjustable brush
tension is allowed. Electrical parts may be lightly sanded for cleaning purposes
only. Shunt wires are not allowed.
7. The use of glue shall not be allowed on the chassis or bulkheads except for
body mounts, guide pin or armature bushings. A chassis may be repaired with
glue if damage occurs during a race.
21. Drivers are responsible for their own behavior. Any misconduct will result
in a warning followed by a disqualification. Any further misconduct may
include being prohibited from racing in future events. Treat all racers with
respect and race venues as your own.
22. Any accidental damage caused by a marshal will result in a track call for the
offended driver to repair his car.
23. Drivers will marshal to the best of their abilities after they race. In most
cases, "A" Main drivers will marshal the first heat. "B" Main drivers will marshal
the "A" Main. This is at the race directors discretion. No marshal substitutions  
unless approved by the race director.
24. A racer is expected to be ready to race and marshal when called upon to do
so. You will be called out 2 times and then the race will continue and you will
forfeit your entry frr for the day and receive 0 points for that class.
25. Season championship will be the total of points accumulated over the
course of the best 6 of 7 races.
26. Points are awarded as follows. Top 4 qualifiers in heats will earn bonus
points of 5 for TQ, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd and 2 for 4th. Points for mains will be
awarded as follows: 150 for 1st and lowers by 5 points down to 50. Any driver
finishing lower will receive a minimum of 50 points.
27. Heat races for race 1 of the series will be done by a blind draw. All other
races will be set up by points standings.
28. Tracks should have 18
.6v with a filtered regulated power supply with a
minimum of 20 amps consistent usage. If using batteries, they must be 3 - 6
volt deep cell batteries backed up with a filtered regulated power supply. This
will give 18.6 volts

29. Rules are subject to change with reasonable notice by the series directors.
Sometimes reasonable notice is the day of the race or in the moment.
Polymer Modified
Legal Chassis: BSRT G3/G3R, Slottech T3 & Wizzard Storm (if comparable
magnets are released and approved)
1. The chassis must be stock and cannot be machined, sanded or cut except to
provide for the following:
A. Add body mounts.
B. Mount any guide pin holder - guide pin shall remain in any one of the stock
positions.
C. Add armature bushings or ball bearings.
D. Drill or cut holes for adjustable brush tension.
E. The bottom surface of the chassis and bulkheads may be sanded flat.  
However, the bottom bulkhead tabs shall remain naturally connected to the end
bells.
F. The pickup retaining tabs on the chassis may be reinforced and/or replaced in
their stock position.
G. Real Axle retainers.
H. Front Axle retainer.
I. Bulkhead/Magnet Clip retaining screws.
J. Add any readily available front bumper.
2.  Allowed magnets are: BSRT #286 Traction Magnets, #292 Motor Magnets,
Slottech #81 Motor Magnets and #86 Traction Magnets.
3. All magnets shall remain in their stock location.
4.The use of glue on the magnets or chassis surrounding the magnets shall not
be allowed.  Other non-magnetic materials may be employed to restrict the
movement of the magnets.  Any chassis clip used to hold the car together must
not touch the magnets or affect the magnetic field.
5. Any type of armature shall be legal.
6. Electrical systems shall be stock or stock replacement parts.  Shunt wires are
allowed. Adjustable brush tension is allowed.
7. There are no restrictions on the armature bushings/ball bearings (may be glued
in), guide pin, wheels, tires, gears, and axles.

Sportsmanship Rules
1. Drivers - The marshals are there to help you. It is almost ALWAYS your
fault that you need them.
Be Polite and nice. No Yelling, swearing or name
calling is permitted.
You are only to say: Lane color and Please. No
exceptions.
2. Marshals - You are there to clear the track and then place the car on the
proper lane. You need to marshal as though it is you who needs put back on the
track.!
Pay attention to the track in front of you. That is YOUR
responsibility!!
Social Hour is another time.
3. Remember - You are a guest in another persons home. You are responsible
for your actions. Please treat everyone with a kind a friendly behavior.
4. If a car is on the track in front of the drivers station - Be kind and respectful.
If you can, and the track is clear, place the car back in their lane. If the front
straight is congested, give it to a marshal. Remember sportsmanship is a must.
If it is your car, use good judgement. Give it to a marshal.
