The 2011-12 Ohio State HO Racing Series will crown Champions in Super Stock (all divisions) and
Polymer Modified (both divisions). We will also crown an overall champion from both classes
combining the racers average finish from both. Sportsmanship is a must and this season we will
have a Sportsman of the Year to be voted on by the participants at the seasons end.
Entries for the classes are:
Amateur Super Stock - $5.00
Semi Pro/Pro Super Stock - $8.00
Compression Molded Polymer Modified - $8.00
Individual racers may only enter one Super Stock class and must race that class the entire
season. Any racer may enter Compression Molded Polymer Modified.
$2.00 of all entries go to the track owner to offset costs of hosting.
We will have a cash payout for the top 4 finishers of Pro SS and Polymod. After track payout, the
class entries will be divided as follows: 1st 40%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20% and 4th 10%.
Amateurs and Semi Pros will receive certificates for parts and seasons end.
Race day schedule will start with open practice at 8:00 - 10:00am. Track will be shut off and tech
will begin at 10:00am. Amateur SS will start immediately after tech followed by Semi Pro and Pro.
The race day format to be used will be:
Amateur - 1 minute qualifier then 3 minute main.
Semi Pro SS and Polymod - 1 minute qualifier and 4 minute main.
Pro SS and Polymod - 2 minute qualifier and 4 minute main.
Polymod practice will start after the last SS main and will last 1 hour.
There must be 8 Semi Pro Polymod racers or we will run only one group.
Definition of racers:
Pro Racer - Any racer who has received money as a race prize. Any racer who has won Amateur SS
in the Ohio State Series and or at the HOPRA Nats or has 3 Top 10 finishes at the HOPRA Nats. Any
racer who wants to have the chance to win money for a race prize. If you have competed in the
Ohio State Series and consistantly finished in the top 10 as a pro.
Semi Pro - Any racer who has not won Amateur SS at the HOPRA Nats or in the Ohio State Series or
has not had 3 top 10 finishes at the HOPRS Nats. Also any racer who has not won money as a race
prize for SS. If you have competed in the Ohio State Series for 3 consecutive seasons and have
never finished in the top 10 as a pro.
Amateur - New racers that have not raced in the Ohio State Series for 3 consecutive complete
seasons. You must race with a local group and have some of your own race cars and equipment
or race out of your "dad's" box with your "dad's" help.
